Osteoporosis Treatment

Osteoporosis Treatment

The mission of Renewed Health & Wellness Center for Osteoporosis is to evaluate, diagnose  and treat patients efficiently and effectively in a manner to encourage bone growth, not just to arrest the degradation of mineralization.

Osteoporosis is very common.  About 57 million Americans have osteoporosis and low bone mass and about 34 million are at risk for developing the disease. Estimates suggest that nearly one half of all women older than 50, and up to one in four men over 50, will break a bone due to osteoporosis.  Since women posses greater than a 50% chance of having a hip or spine fracture related to osteoporosis at sometime in their life, this is an important disease to diagnose and treat as early and as aggressive as possible.

Osteoporosis is often called a silent disease because bone loss occurs without symptoms. The first symptom is often a fracture. By that time, a woman has lost 30% or more of her bone mass. If evaluated at an early stage, patients can initiate preventive treatment prior to the clinical manifestations of this silent disease.

Conveniently located in our office, Renewed Health & Wellness Medicine has a state of the art bone densitometer device which is made by GE and is the gold standard tool used to assess bone density. This device allows our physicians to evaluate the degree of bone loss, to diagnose osteoporosis and calculate the risk of hip and spine fractures.

Renewed Health & Wellness Medicine is accepting new patients with osteoporosis, disorders of calcium metabolism, and other metabolic bone diseases including Paget’s Disease, osteomalacia and others.  We offer treatment options that embrace and enhance the whole endocrine system, life style, and physical abilities of individuals and actually reverse this disease by increasing bone density and decreasing fracture risks –

At Renewed Health & Wellness we are dedicated to improving your health and quality of life.
