Rori Lee

Rori Lee’s calling for movement began at the tender age of four years old when she began dancing. She is a classically trained ballerina who, as she grew, moved into competitive dance including modern, lyrical, tap, jazz, and hip hop genres. She then rediscovered her love of movement and performance as an adult through a very different medium; fire! From there she assembled additional forms of flow arts into her repertoire including yoga, stilting, and aerial artistry. She brought these skills together under her own educational and production company in 2014: Reno Tahoe Unified Flow. Contact Rori for information on classes, private instruction, and personal Ayurvedic wellness coaching.

Nancy Wise

My name is Nancy Wise. I have been practicing yoga unknowingly my whole life. I have, knowingly, practicing since 2003. I’ve been sitting either in butterfly or a wide -leg straddle since I was 4 or 5 years old, simply because it was comfortable and felt good.

As I got older I got trapped into feeling the need to be the skinniest, smartest, funniest, nicest, prettiest and whatever else would make me feel perfect. I found out that through numerous unhealthy and some healthy, styles of living that being prefect was simply impossible.

Someone suggested that I try yoga. Honestly, it didn’t sound all that appealing to me but I decided to give it a try. I went to my first teacher training in Arizona in 2003 and I got to learn from some of the most respected yogis in the world. It was life changing! Thankfully, I found yoga before I destroyed myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. I learned early on that yoga is different for everyone. For some, it’s more of a spiritual practice. For some, it’s more of a relaxing practice, and for others it’s a full- on workout.

My goal in teaching is to help others find their own path through yoga. I have been taught thro ugh numerous teacher trainings, how to use the principles of alignment, because everybody is built differently. I have been blessed with amazing and patient teachers before me who have shown me the way to connect my breath with my movement, therefore creating a calmness that I never had before. Since then, I have learned so much more physically and spiritually, than I could have ever imagined.

My flow classes can be challenging but available to most who want to be physically challenged. My yin and restorative classes are more relaxing but still will give an amazing sense of well-being to most.

I look forward to seeing you on your mat!
